Job description

The Courier Truck Driver is responsible for collecting and delivering parcels, packages, and various size boxes while driving a 26ft Box Truck. You must be able to lift 50 pounds. You must be willing to be able to drive for a few hours at a time. You will be required to make multiple trips to the airports and surrounding cities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pick up or delivery of time-sensitive samples and/or equipment between client location and airport.
  • Position requires driving for various lengths of time in and around Albuquerque (ABQ Airport).
  • Evening and weekend work is required.
  • Maintain a written log of daily activity.
  • Ensure vehicle service/basic maintenance is kept up.
  • Additional tasks as needed per manager, based on the business needs.

Education and Experience

  • High School completion or equivalent is required.
  • 3 or more years as a courier driver or experience is a plus.
  • Basic to intermediate experience using Windows operating system and Microsoft software applications is required.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must be good with directions/using GPS.
  • Must be organized and be able to prioritize tasks/deliveries.
  • Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret verbal and written requests and directions.
