We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Oral Surgical Assistant to join our private oral surgery practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures by preparing treatment rooms, assisting the surgeon chairside, and supporting patient care before, during, and after oral surgery. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent patient communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a sterile and efficient clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, retracting tissues, and maintaining a sterile field
• Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with patient assessment before, during, and after surgery
• Handle medical records, including documenting procedures and updating patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Utilize X-Ray technology for imaging purposes as needed
• Assist with medical coding and billing processes
• Knowledge of anatomy to support surgical procedures
• Work in three office locations (Wayne NJ and Franklin Lakes, NJ)
Duties:

Requirements

Requirements:
• Proficiency in OMS or similar software for patient records management
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Experience with Intra-oral scanning
• Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist would be beneficial
