Certifications/ Licences:
  • BLS
Mandatory Experience:
  • Medical Laboratory Technician
  • Proficiently performs a variety of chemical, microscopic and bacteriological tests and procedures following established policies and procedures of the laboratory and requirements of accrediting and regulating agencies.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide laboratory services appropriate to the age of the patients served including newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric.
  • Experience in phlebotomy a must
  • Basic computer knowledge, ability to perform mathematical calculations, apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to use sound judgment to insure quality of patient care.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal, effective reading and comprehension skills.
  • Meditech experience a plus.
  • Degree in Medical Technology/Lab Science or a related biological science, ASCP certified as an MLT or MT/MLS.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs..
  • Shift will be primarily days, with rotating weekends and potential for occasional on-call hours.
