What You’ll Be Doing

  • Post insurance and patient payments accurately to accounts
  • Review and analyze EOBs, EFTs, and ERAs
  • Handle denials, adjustments, and credits
  • Transfer copays, coinsurance, and deductibles to patient responsibility
  • Reconcile daily batches and verify deposit accuracy
  • Review and approve charges for claim submission
  • Work through unbilled charges, failed claims, and A/R follow-up
  • Research and resolve outstanding claims and account balances
  • Use healthcare databases to verify insurance and claim status
  • Enter patient demographics and insurance details
  • Utilize ICD-9 and CPT codes during charge entry
  • Communicate with providers and office staff to resolve billing issues
