Job description

Emergency Medicine Physician – Sampson Regional Medical Center | Clinton, NC

Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician (ABEM/AOBEM or FM with ED experience) to join our collegial, hospital-based Emergency Department team. This is an independent hospital where physicians practice with true clinical autonomy in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Position Overview
  • Shifts: 12-hour day (7A-7P) or night (7P-7A)

  • Monthly shifts: 12

  • Coverage: 1 day physician, 1 night physician, strong PA support

  • Hard sign-out at the end of each shift

  • Annual ED volume: ~32,000 (~90-100 patients/day)

  • Acuity: Average ESI 3-4

  • 22-bed ED with hospitalist and 24/7 radiology coverage

  • Air and ground transport support for high-acuity transfers

  • On-site specialties: General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Primary Care, and Urology
