Job description

POSITION

Blue Cliff College is seeking a Medical Assistant / EKG & Phlebotomy Instructor Position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing healthcare training to students while adhering to BPSS standards. New York's Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision (BPSS) oversees and monitors non-degree granting proprietary schools in New York. The Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision is part of the New York State Education Department. The schedule for this position would be 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday through Friday with the opportunity for extra hours as well as the potential for a hybrid schedule. 

JOB DUTIES

  • Teaching the approved BPSS curriculum for the following course subject: "Medical Assistant with EKG and Phlebotomy".
  • Keeping immaculate records for each student.
  • Working hand in hand with the Director of Education and the Director of Student Services.
  • Providing progress checks for students on a regular basis.
  • Following and adhering to ABC Training Center rules and guidelines.
  • Maintaining all aspects of the classroom.
  • Establishing and maintaining a civil, productive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have four years of experience.
  • Must be able to supply a letter of past employment, showing experience as a CMA plus EKG and Phlebotomy hands-on experience.
  • Must have patience and work well with people.
  • Must be computer savvy (this program is a hybrid schedule and you will participate in Zoom classes as well as in-person classes).
  • Have an open schedule and be open to picking up teaching shifts, if necessary.
  • NY BPSS Teachers License (Assistance with acquiring this certification is available, if needed).
  • Be a team player.

COMPENSATION

In the spirit of pay transparency, we can share that the pay range for this position is $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
