Medical assistants are generally not authorized to administer injections of lidocaine unless they have specific training and certification, as this procedure is typically performed by licensed healthcare providers such as nurses or physicians. In some states or settings, medical assistants may assist with injections under supervision, but they do not usually perform the injection themselves. Proper training, certification, and adherence to legal scope of practice are essential for performing injections safely and legally.

What is the highest paying medical assistant job?

The highest paying medical assistant roles are typically in specialized settings such as surgical or diagnostic clinics, or in administrative leadership positions like office managers with medical assistant experience.
