Medical Assistant (Full-Time) — Spanish Preferred

We are seeking a professional, patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our clinical team full-time. The MA will perform patient-related tasks, greet and direct patients, maintain accurate records, answer and return calls, and act as a liaison between patients and medical staff. The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, bilingual (Spanish preferred), and holds an MA/CMA certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients, check them in/out, verify demographics and insurance, and ensure a welcoming environment
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, medical histories, and reason for visit
  • Assist providers during exams and procedures; prepare exam rooms and equipment
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) promptly
  • Answer incoming calls, triage and route calls appropriately, and return missed calls in a timely manner
  • Serve as liaison between patients and clinical staff to facilitate communication and follow-up
  • Administer routine injections and perform basic clinical tasks per protocol (as certified)
  • Support assigned providers as their designated MA; ensure continuity of care
  • Encourage a positive, cooperative work environment among medical assistants and clinic staff
  • Make sound decisions in urgent situations and escalate appropriately

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; MA/CMA certification preferred/required
  • 1+ year of clinical experience preferred
