Job description

Audiologist (Northern Quebec) Employment conditions: Willing to work in the area mentioned and ideally owns a means of transport. Full-time / Part-time – Variable shift Salary: Up to $85/contract plus other benefits (bonuses, transportation reimbursement, continuing education plan, etc.) Job description: We are looking for Audiologists to work with children, adults and seniors in various settings, including hospitals, CLSCs, rehabilitation centres, schools, specialized clinics, CHSLDs, RPAs and home services. The professional assesses, screens and treats hearing, balance and communication disorders related to auditory functions, while contributing to improving the quality of life of users. Main responsibilities: Perform comprehensive audiological assessments on diverse client groups. To screen for, identify and analyze auditory and vestibular disorders. Develop, implement and monitor intervention plans tailored to the needs of users. Recommend appropriate hearing aids, assistive technologies and compensatory measures. To provide clinical follow-up for users employing hearing aids or other specialized devices. Advising users, their families and care teams on strategies that promote effective communication. Participate in prevention, promotion and education activities related to hearing health. Collaborating with ENT doctors, speech therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers and other professionals. Prepare evaluation reports, recommendations and progress notes in accordance with professional standards. Ensure that records are kept in compliance with confidentiality rules and Law 25. Requirements: Master's degree in audiology. Member in good standing of the Quebec Order of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. Experience in clinical, school, hospital or rehabilitation settings (an asset). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team. Organizational skills, professionalism, and clinical judgment. Proficiency in spoken and written French. Driver's license and vehicle (an asset depending on the mandates).
