Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington.

The K. Dhodapkar lab is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Research Technician to work in a collaborative environment leading research on immune-therapies and immune function in cancer patients and cancer survivors. The focus of our lab is to study interactions between cancer and immune system in the setting of precursor states, clinical malignancy and during survivorship following completion of therapy. We are actively exploring various immune therapies including checkpoint blocking agents, CARTs and bispecific engagers for T cell redirection.

The position will provide opportunities to learn immunologic techniques and translational science. This position requires full time on site work and ideal for a person interested in immunology research.

Responsibilities
  • Lab maintenance, making media, culturing cell lines, processing blood samples, helping lab members with various immunology assays.
  • Mouse models and help with animal experiments.
  • Good record keeping essential.
  • Ability to work full time on site in the lab.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in related scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated scientific knowledge in the area of study.
  • Demonstrated basic laboratory skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior lab experience preferred.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $23.33 to $33.21 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance health, well-being, and financial security.
