Emplify Health by Gundersen is looking for a fulltime Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our La Crosse outpatient therapy team. This is your opportunity to work in an outpatient setting with a focus on caring for our pediatric population throughout La Crosse, WI and our surrounding areas as we bring patient-centered care close to home.
What You'll Do:
As a Pediatric Physical Therapist on our team, you will work with children, teens, and families to examine, evaluate, diagnose, prognose, and intervene to ensure optimal outcomes. You will be responsible for developing plans of care and providing treatment techniques and interventions to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function through collaboration with referring providers and other clinical staff ensuring optimal patient care through appropriate and timely methods of communication and treatment. After the initial observation and evaluation, you will create a plan of care that identifies individual goals, age-specific activities, milestones, and family education that will be integrated into each follow-up session. These sessions will help children and teens overcome challenges, improve balance and coordination, improve proper positioning, teach motor development, provide age-appropriate developmental activities and Intervention to build skills, and provide mobility training and adaptive equipment recommendations. Our current pediatric therapy team consists of 5 Occupational Therapists, 3 Physical Therapists, and 2 Rehabilitation Technicians for support.
What's Available:
  • Fulltime, 72 hours biweekly (0.9 FTE)
  • Monday - Friday, variable clinic hours between 7am-5:30 pm, no weekends or holidays
  • Starting salary of $72,200 (based on 0.9 FTE) and up, commensurate with your years of experience
  • Hour long appointment/visit lengths, schedule allows for up to 32 patients/week

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved curriculum in Physical Therapy
  • State of Wisconsin Physical Therapist License
  • Current BLS for Health Care Providers from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Passion for working with children and teens
  • Ideal candidate will have prior pediatric experience
  • Must be credentialed with Gundersen prior to starting
