At Express Medical Transporters (EMT) in Cumberland, Maryland we are committed to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services to our community. Since 1996, EMT has partnered with healthcare providers, educational institutions, and community organizations to ensure passengers reach their destinations safely, comfortably, and on time. We are looking for dependable and customer-focused Medical Drivers to help us continue this vital service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport passengers to medical appointments, healthcare facilities, schools, rehabilitation centers, and other approved destinations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, disembarking, and ensuring their comfort during transit.
  •  Follow all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies to ensure passenger safety at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Accurately complete trip documentation, logs, and any required reports.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to coordinate schedules and address any special needs or concerns.


Requirements:
  •  Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Prior experience in passenger transportation, healthcare transportation, or a similar role preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.
  • Ability to operate a variety of vehicles and adapt to different transportation needs.
  • Physical ability to assist passengers as needed, including lifting or helping with mobility.
  • Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations in Cumberland, Maryland.

 Education:

  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in customer service or in a similar role. 
  • Familiarity with safety and emergency procedures.
  • First Aid, AED and CPR certification are preferred.
