Job description

Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Apprentice - CNC Machining 1st Shift at our Charleston, SC facility! This is a first shift apprenticeship, with at least 15 hours per week required. The hourly rate for this position is $19 per hour.
Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you'll do:
Eaton's Aerospace Division is seeking an individual currently enrolled in a manufacturing or machining education program to train for a full-time CNC machinist position upon completion of the program. This position is based at our North Charleston, SC location.
Work with experienced CNC Machinists to learn the skills required to machine and perform necessary quality checks on high precision parts for Aerospace applications.
  • Load and unload CNC machines including mills and lathes
  • Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, customer specification and internal drawings and procedures
  • Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Perform quality checks using air gages, plug gauges, microhites and traces.
  • Understand and execute various safety processes and requirements
  • Use 5S+ to ensure a safe and efficient work area

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in manufacturing/mechatronics classes or acceptance in an apprenticeship program
  • Ability to work at least 15 hours per week

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of North Charleston, SC (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
