POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Junior Mechanic's responsibilities include performing minor inspections of equipment, carrying out preventative maintenance, and fulfilling other duties such as building maintenance as assigned. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to enter the Fleet Automotive maintenance field. Duties consist of Parts Runner, Mechanic Helper, Servicing, Clean Up, Washing Equipment, Parts Room. To be a successful Junior Mechanic, you should have a practical mind, mechanical aptitude, and strong attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, lighting, and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and performing routine preventative maintenance.
  • Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.
  • Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, & servicing.
  • Cleaning, repairing, and installing equipment and parts as needed.
  • Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Complying with health and safety regulations.
  • Performing general maintenance work on vehicles and equipment as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Trade or vocational school graduation a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability.
  • Physical ability.
  • Good troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Active drivers license.

This position will be based in Reno, NV with occasional travel.
