Location: Florence SC 29501
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $44/hr on W2
 
Job Description:
This position is for a mechanical engineer to provide engineering support for elevator components. The engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining product integrity, evaluating opportunities, integrating new component designs into existing systems and addressing turn backs while working to meet agreed upon cost and schedule commitments. 
 
Typical responsibilities include engineering calculations and analysis, component design, cost analysis, test and documentation of a wide range of elevator components. The candidate must have a strong background in mechanical engineering, ability to work in a cross-functional team environment, ability to deliver assigned commitments on time.
Education / Certifications
BS degree in mechanical engineering or MA/MS degree with 1 to 3+ years work experience.
Experience/Skills 
Strong mechanical engineering background
Self-motivated personality with a strong desire to continue learning
Self-paced engineering work with ownership and responsibility of assigned tasks
Time management to meet agreed upon commitments
Engineering problem solving skills
Component, system modeling and design with Creo (Pro Engineer) or similar software
Engineering calculations including Mathcad or similar software
Mechanical structural analysis including Ansys or other FEA software
Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
Proficiency working in product development process
Proficiency in using PLM/PDM system capable of storing documentation
