Job description

Summary of Job:

This full time position will provide engineering design and support as part of our Design-Build construction team. This position requires a high level of interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and engineering design experience in facility solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

  • Perform full Design of Mechanical, HVAC and Plumbing systems, Engineer of record
  • Responsible for preparing construction drawings and specifications
  • Act as the technical authority consistently moving projects toward successful completion often while leading internal teams
  • Thoroughly understand and design to all relevant codes and standards
  • Assist internal sales and vertical market teams in preparing proposals for design and construction of projects by various support functions such as: drawing review, site review, perform load calculations, initial equipment selections, design clarifications, codes research, systems analysis, energy audits and problem solving
  • Perform evaluations of facility mechanical systems and develop narratives for Owner solutions

Education and Experience:

  • Five (5) or more years of work experience with complex building HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in the commercial and/or industrial sector
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in Design/Build project delivery
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills essential for team-based projects
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills required for simultaneous project schedules
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges

Skills and Abilities:

  • Registered Professional Engineer, with state P.E. license, or eligible to obtain a state P.E. license required
