Job description

Pad-Car Mechanical is looking for a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker to join our growing team in Medicine Hat, Alberta. This is a great opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship and is looking to advance their career while taking ownership of HVAC installations on assigned projects.

We are seeking someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently as well as lead and support others on the job site.

Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC ducting and equipment in the field
  • Fabricate and assemble metal components according to blueprints and specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet project timelines and goals
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support and mentor apprentices or junior team members as needed

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Sheet Metal certification required
  • Experience with HVAC ducting and equipment installation
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings
  • Proficient with hand tools, measuring tools, and metalworking equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically capable of lifting materials and performing repetitive tasks
  • Crane operation experience is considered an asset
