We are seeking a detail oriented and reliable Mechanical Assembler responsible for the assembly and testing of cabling, piping, and HVAC equipment. This manufacturing role will consist of assembly and subassemblies, as well as monitoring equipment and performing measurements, troubleshooting, and correcting errors. Experience with mechanical aptitude will be a big plus in this role.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, move, and modify related equipment according to job specifications
  • Route and install cables, wires, and labels
  • Mount and align electric motors, compressors, and bearings
  • Reads blueprints, calipers and other measuring instruments, records dimensions, and other details on production logs
  • Cleans and maintains work area and equipment organized, including tools
  • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Works with other facility teams (Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering) to ensure that assembly/test problems are addressed and resolved quickly
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly, industrial machinery assembly, or a related manufacturing role required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to solve practical problems and work with limited standardization
  • Working knowledge of shop safety practices
  • Understanding of quality assurance concepts, typically acquired through in-house training
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Adaptability and willingness to be cross trained
