We seek an individual passionate about teaching and invested in student success. Scope:
The Department of Statistics & Applied Technology in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University welcomes applicants for a part-time, adjunct faculty position in Manufacturing Technology. Candidates with backgrounds in all areas of Manufacturing Technology will be considered.
Principal Responsibilities
Individuals may serve as the instructor of record for laboratory courses in materials science, technology and society, materials and processes, or fluid and mechanical systems, as well as introduction to CAD, product design and analysis, or other courses as assigned. Typical assignments include one or two courses each semester, depending on student demand. Questions concerning the position should be directed to the Department Chair, Dr. Richard Miller (r-miller.4@onu.edu).
Required Skills:
The successful candidate will demonstrate good interpersonal skills, as well as the interest and ability to mentor students both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates with experience teaching undergraduate, introductory Manufacturing Technology courses are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Manufacturing Technology, Technology Management, Engineering Technology, Technology Education or 18 hours graduate coursework in one of these areas is required. Those with a doctorate in Manufacturing Technology and experience teaching Manufacturing Technology at the university level are encouraged to apply.
