Production Equipment Mechanic / Technician Direct Hire – Located in Eatontown, NJ Two Openings:
  • First Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Second Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Compensation:
  • Pay: $55K – $65K annually (salaried), based on experience + straight time OT .

About this Job Opportunity: We are currently seeking a dependable Maintenance Mechanic to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment. This is a great opportunity for candidates with mechanical aptitude who are looking to grow their skills in an industrial manufacturing environment. Both entry-level and junior mechanics with hands-on experience are encouraged to apply. The Maintenance Mechanic will assist with preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and general production support while working closely with experienced maintenance staff. Production Equipment Mechanic / Technician Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on high-speed automated production equipment, including print, fold, seal, and mail insertion systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and sensor issues on automated machinery
  • Respond to equipment stoppages and breakdowns, assisting with safe and timely repairs to reduce downtime
  • Support setup, calibration, installation, and changeovers of precision production equipment
  • Work with high-speed personalization and document processing systems
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks and maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Support continuous operation of industrial mailing and postage equipment
  • Work closely with production and maintenance teams to improve uptime and equipment performance
  • Follow all safety, quality, and security procedures in a regulated production environment
Production Equipment Mechanic / Technician Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Post high school vocational schooling/training is highly desired
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability
  • Previous manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical, or technical experience preferred
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools
  • Willingness to learn electrical, pneumatic, and production systems
  • Ability to read basic technical documents or schematics is a plus
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Flexible and willing to work either 1st or 2nd shift, if needed (rare)
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally approximately once every few years for up to 7 days, with advance notice of about 2 months. Travel may include attendance at corporate training programs, including locations in Europe.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in manufacturing or industrial maintenance, commercial copy machines, printer technician
  • Forklift or mechanical repair experience is a plus
  • Experience with printing or production equipment is helpful but not required
