Job description

Summary: Assists mechanics by performing the primary function of sewing equipment maintenance, such as lubricating equipment, installing needle protectors, and performing other assigned tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Does preventive maintenance on equipment (i.e., change oil, blow motors, adjust machines,

clean machines, check times)

  • Record keeping- records equipment preventive maintenance by keeping logs on maintenance

performed.Install safety equipment, such as needle protectors and guards.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in industrial equipment or sewing equipment is preferred.

Must have good vision to observe proper levels of oil and small screws.

Work Environment: Able to work in a noisy factory/manufacturing environment and withstand heavy traffic and floor vibrations.
