What the Ideal Candidate will do:
The Mechanical Design Engineer develops concepts, designs, implements, and documents engineering solutions for various engineering tests for our customers, and the company's products (industrial machines, such as spin pits and balancing machines) by performing the following duties:
  • Consults and collaborates in development of engineering and spin test solutions, executing accordingly to customer specifications.
  • Prepares product or system layout, detailed drawings, schematics and engineering change notices.
  • Coordinates manufacturing or building of prototype products or systems.
  • Compiles and analyzes operational, test and research data to establish performance standards and determine designs for newly designed or modified equipment or product.
  • Interfaces effectively with vendors and appropriate internal personnel on various technical design modifications and requirement issues.
  • Project management & timely delivery of the results.

Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Person. (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Robotics Engineering.
  • 1-5 years of experience in engineering machine design within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Salary is commensurate based on experience.
  • Strong experience with mechanical system design, including machine structures and electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform FEA and structural analysis.
  • Proficiency in ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards and engineering drawings.
  • Experience planning and executing engineering tests and analyzing results.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, including occasional international travel.

Computer skills:
Experience with the use of Microsoft Office programs, such as Outlook, Excel, Word, etc. Experience with ERP/MRP system is a plus; SAP preferred. Proficiency in CAD software; SolidWorks preferred.
