What you'll do:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following (and other duties as required):

  • Providing customers with excellent, efficient, courteous service

  • Provide a neat, clean, fresh and well merchandised department

  • All duties associated with inventory stocking and taking inventory counts

  • Compliance with government standards and regulations that apply to the Killam store

  • Complete up-to-date in-house training and certifications via e-learning coursesย 

  • Alert for the unauthorized removal of merchandise and equipment

  • Ensure the quality and condition of all merchandise meets the store's standards.

  • Follow all cleaning and maintenance schedules.

  • Compliance with all Safety policies and procedures and look out for the safety of others

  • Adhere to all Wild Rose Co-op policies and procedures

  • Using machinery and specialized tools to cut variety of meat products

  • Taking and preparing customer orders for special cuts

  • Preparing fresh ground meat, sausage making

This position requires the use of computers, as well as heavy lifting of products.

Who you are:

You have previous experience in customer service is an asset. Candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Understanding of our Values (Teamwork, People, Excellence, Community)

  • Committed to providing excellent customer service to our member-owners as well as internal customers

  • Quality communication skills

  • Ability to work days, evenings and weekends

  • Lifting up to 50lbs is required

This position will report to the Meat Manager

This is a part-time position based on 32 hrs/week, the successful candidate will have the ability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
