Job description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes and customer orders.
  • Ensure that all food is cooked to the proper temperature.
  • Meat prep during the shift to make sure raw material is ready at the time of orders.
  • Operate grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
  • Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Follow safety procedures for storing and handling food.
  • All other tasks related to kitchen as and when needed.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
  • Oversee the overall hygiene of the store.

Skills

  • Proven grill experience, including cooking chicken burgers, beef burgers.
  • Ability to stand and operate grill for long durations.
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices

Ability to commute:

  • Kitchener, ON (required)
  • The training (approx. 2 weeks) would happen in Brampton. Reliable commute to training location is preferred.

Experience:

  • Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
