Vegetable-forward dishes, family-style dining, and a carefully curated wine program balancing Old World selections with fresh, modern wines complete the experience.

Constantine Restaurant has an existing vacancy for a Food and Beverage Supervisor who will play a key role in the day-to-day F&B operation for the restaurant. A successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the front of house F&B experience which includes the restaurant, bar, and event - banquet spaces. This position is also responsible for assisting in supporting the day-day-day Food & Beverage Operations while providing exceptional experience and reflective of the standards our guests have come to expect from us. This position requires exceptionally strong communication and a collaborative approach with all hotel leadership team members and departmental teams, while sharing their flare for style and design.

Your Role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and managing busy meal periods across F&B operations including banquets.
  • Being a leader within the operation, ensuring guest expectations are exceeded.
  • Ensuring opening and closing duties are fulfilled by the team, and that pre-shift briefings are conducted daily.
  • Helping the service team when the operation demands.
  • Interacting with guests and conducting quality checks, specifically during peak meal periods.
  • Suggesting selling, marketing and branding.
  • Provide training, guidance and mentorship to the food and beverage associates, resolving issues and removing barriers so they can perform their roles successfully.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest experience.
  • Follow through on daily tasks and key responsibilities, driving a culture of teamwork and fun!
  • Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by management.
Your Superpowers
  • Work varying shifts (morning, afternoon, evening, overnights, weekends, and holidays).
  • Critical time spent on computer keyboard.
  • Attendance at regular meetings with Food and Beverage and other company leaders.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
  • Some lifting (up to 30 lbs), on occasion.
  • A fast paced and ever-evolving industry with high demands to perform.

What You Bring to the Table
  • Post-secondary education in Food & Beverage/Hospitality Management is an asset.
  • 3-5 years experience in F&B, either supervisor level or assistant manager, preferably in a full-service hotel environment.
  • Hotel Banquet experience is must.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Proven experience with F&B cost controls.
  • Should have in-depth knowledge of inventory & management of it.
  • Hands on approach to training service team to exceed expectations.
  • Proven ability to achieve deadlines while focusing on department/hotel fiscal results.
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word/Office.
  • Available to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends (a must!) and Holidays.
