$15.00 - $19.04 PER HOUR

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to sell Harmons Fresh Seafood by providing remarkable customer service. This person will be assisting customers at the seafood counter, stocking the seafood case, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the seafood area, and sampling products at the seafood case and throughout the store.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
  • Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the seafood area provides
  • Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the seafood case
  • Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all seafood case products, paying particular attention to ad items
  • Ensures the seafood area is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance
  • Cuts fish, steams shrimp, prepares seafood salads, and shrimp platters for sale
  • Cleans and sanitizes dishes used in the seafood area
  • Receives and stocks product in the seafood area
  • Delivers excellent customer service to all customers
  • Educates customers about ingredients, taste, etc. of Harmons’ fresh cut seafood products
  • Actively promotes the seafood products through sampling at the seafood case and throughout the store
  • Assists with inventory and ordering of seafood products
  • Receives and stocks product for the seafood area
  • Assists as needed to ensure the success of the meat department as a whole

  • Current Food Handler’s Permit
  • Knowledge of fish species, how to cut them, and how to prepare them
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with customers and fellow associates
  • Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success as well as the success of your team
  • Must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmons’ mission and commitment to working collaboratively
