In this role you will design and lead implementation of core mechanisms that support marketing measurement in a privacy-preserving environment. This role requires strong systems thinking, careful consideration of trade-offs, and the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, scalable platform capabilities. You will work at the intersection of system architecture, privacy engineering, and advertising ecosystem - shaping how measurement frameworks evolve at global scale. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the advertising technology landscape, a passion for data-driven measurement, a proven ability to contribute to and communicate a compelling product vision, and a deep commitment to user privacy.","responsibilities":"Design, build, and evolve scalable privacy-preserving measurement systems that achieve utility with user privacy guarantees
Define and extend core platform capabilities (e.g., attribution, aggregation, and reporting) for use by large-scale ecosystem
Translate architectural concepts into clear and usable platform APIs, analyze system behavior at scale to ensure robustness, efficiency, and consistency
Partner with cross-functional engineering, product, policy, and legal teams to drive product & technical vision, align on requirements and ensure end-user satisfaction
Clearly communicate complex technical concepts and trade-offs to diverse audiences, including senior leadership, to set direction and drive decisions
Analyze trade-offs between accuracy, performance, and privacy, and guide decision-making with data and experimentation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing or deploying privacy-enhancing technologies such as differential privacy, federated learning, secure multi-party computation, or on-device intelligence
Understanding of privacy related regulations and policies (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on system design
Participation in industry standards committees focused on privacy or advertising measurement
Deep expertise in advertising measurement domains such as attribution modeling, incrementally testing, conversion measurement, or campaign optimization
Experience building publicly facing platforms or APIs with a focus on usability, scalability, and ecosystem adoption
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience in software engineering
Demonstrated ability to define and drive long-term technical strategy, influencing product direction and engineering roadmaps
Proven track record of leading the design and delivery of complex, high-impact data or measurement platforms at global scale
Deep expertise in distributed systems and data warehousing concepts (Java, Python, Spark, Trino, Hadoop, Cassandra, Kafka, Snowflake)
Strong SQL, data analysis and visualization skills to define hypotheses, evaluate experiments, measure business impact, and communicate insights effectively
Hands-on knowledge of the advertising technology ecosystem, including attribution, measurement, and optimization methodologies
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with experience influencing senior leadership and aligning cross-functional stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
