About the Role:
Join our passionate team at Little Cub Academy LLC as a Summer School Age Teacher! This seasonal position is a fun and rewarding opportunity to create meaningful summer experiences for school-age children in a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. Teachers will help plan exciting activities, encourage creativity and teamwork, and support children’s social and emotional growth throughout the summer program.
This seasonal position runs from June 15th through August 21st.
Responsibilities:
  •  Plan and implement engaging summer activities and lesson plans for school-age children ages 5–12. 
  •  Create a safe, positive, and stimulating environment that promotes learning, creativity, and exploration. 
  •  Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, field trips, meals, and transitions. 
  •  Encourage positive behavior, teamwork, and respectful social interactions among children. 
  •  Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members. 
  •  Observe and monitor children’s behavior and development, communicating concerns or achievements with leadership and families as needed. 
  •  Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations. 
  •  Maintain cleanliness and organization within the classroom and activity areas. 
  •  Collaborate with other teachers to create fun themed activities, games, crafts, and summer learning experiences. 
  •  Participate in staff meetings, training opportunities, and center events as needed. 
Requirements:
  •  Must be at least 18 years old. 
  •  Completion of basic Early Childhood Education classes preferred. 
  •  Previous experience working with school-age children in a childcare, camp, educational, or recreational setting preferred. 
  •  CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire). 
  •  Strong communication and teamwork skills. 
  •  Ability to manage a group of active school-age children in a positive and professional manner. 
  •  Reliable, energetic, and dependable with a passion for working with children. 
  •  Ability to participate in indoor and outdoor activities throughout the summer season. 
  •  Background check clearance required prior to employment.
