Now Hiring: Asphalt Plant Foreman
AJ Construction, Inc.
Jackson Metro Area - Richland, Mississippi
AJ Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Asphalt Plant Foreman to lead the daily operations of our asphalt production facility.
We are looking for a hands-on leader who understands every aspect of asphalt production-from safety and quality control to maintenance and production planning. The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership of the plant, leads by example, and is committed to producing a high-quality product while maximizing uptime and efficiency.
Salary
$75,000-$95,000 per year, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
• Oversee all daily asphalt plant operations
• Supervise plant operators, loader operators, and plant personnel
• Ensure safe, efficient, and productive plant operations
• Schedule and coordinate asphalt production to meet customer and project demands
• Monitor mix quality and ensure compliance with customer and MDOT specifications
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot plant and equipment issues
• Maintain plant inventory, including liquid asphalt, aggregates, fuel, and additives
• Work closely with dispatch, paving crews, quality control, and management
• Maintain accurate production, inventory, and maintenance records
• Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience operating and managing an asphalt plant
• Strong understanding of asphalt mix production and quality control
