Job description

Dewberry is currently seeking a ITS Project Manager in our Fairfax, VA, or Richmond, VA office. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join a large team of traffic engineers. Projects will include a wide range of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) design projects for clients in both the mid-Atlantic regional and throughout the eastern United States. Specifically, this individual will lead the ITS design on projects that include elements such as vehicle detection systems, vehicle surveillance systems, dynamic message signs, toll rate signs, toll gantries, and connected and autonomous vehicle (CAV) technologies. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of ITS and traffic engineering experience, including experience on VDOT, MDOT, and/or design-build projects. Applicants must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to monitor schedule and budgets, and the ability to work in groups and lead and mentor a group of traffic engineers. This position also offers tremendous potential to build project management and client management skills while working on innovative projects. The position also offers flexible work hours and the ability for part-time telework.

The projected range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
