Gestalt Community SchoolsThe Curriculum and Assessment Manager provides leadership in maintaining and evaluating high quality curriculum and resources and in the implementation of network assessment activities.
This role reports to the Managing Director of Teacher Development (MDOT).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Curriculum
  • Work with curriculum vendors and partners to support the adoption, training and technical support for the network's K-12 print and digital curriculum and Response to Intervention programs.
  • Coordinate development and maintenance of all network curriculum maps, materials and publications.
  • Train teachers, schools leaders, and CMO staff to effectively use curriculum and instructional systems and resources.
  • Create structures and protocols to manage the network's curriculum and instructional resources.
  • Provide data reporting on the network's implementation of digital content curriculum to MDOT.
Assessment
  • Coordinate and organize all testing activities of the network.
  • Know and implement testing protocols and procedures including ethics and security.
  • Have a working knowledge of all state assessment programs and their accountability implications.
  • Implement procedures for distribution, collection, and return of assessment materials.
  • Conduct training sessions for building testing coordinators in administering assessments.
  • Ensure that all rules, policies, and procedures of the assessment process established by the state and LEAs are enforced.
  • Coordinate the purchasing and securing of testing materials with vendors.
  • Manage and provide training on all assessment systems (A-Net, NWEA, SchoolNet).
  • Collaborate with Director of Assessment to assure effective implementation of network, LEA, state, and national assessments.
Special Knowledge:
  • Specific knowledge of GCS instructional framework and TN state assessments
  • Specific knowledge of Achievement Network, SchoolNet, and NWEA systems
  • Excellent communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
  • Specific knowledge of iMAC, Google Drive Software, and Schoology
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Skills and Qualifications:
  • The ability to be flexible, open, and willing to implement new ideas
  • The ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities, projects, and tasks
  • The ability to work and contribute to a team; build relationships internally and externally
  • The ability to seek resources and solutions to effectively solve problems
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in education required
  • At least three years of classroom experience
  • Experience in development and management of inventory
  • Experience in instructional technology and systems
