Job description

Summary

Access Control personnel support the MDA Security and Emergency Management Directorate (DSS) in executing multiple Security Operations Services at MDA facilities in the United States.  

***Morning and night shift weekend schedule available***


Responsibilities
  • Control access to buildings and property, safeguard equipment and materials, and conduct interior and exterior facility security inspections as directed.
  • Issue visitor badges in accordance with established policies by verifying valid photo identification or passports and confirming visitor identities during the accesscontrol process.
  • Create temporary access badges for approved personnel entering MDA facilities.
  • Operate and interpret magnetometers and Xray screening equipment in accordance with established procedures to ensure the security posture is maintained.
  • Ensure visitors properly secure prohibited items, including personal electronic devices, before entering the facility.
  • Conduct required security measures, including Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAMs), Extra Security Measures (ESMs), and Facility Access Inspections as directed by Security Operations.
  • Escort approved onsite personnel to restricted areas (SMDC only).
  • Perform Extra Security Measures (ESM) as needed to support mission requirements.
  • Conduct interior and exterior facility checks to confirm security integrity, immediately reporting violations of MDA policies or procedures to the Shift Supervisor (SS) or Security Control Center (SCC).
  • Respond to and assist medical personnel, fire departments, law enforcement, and other responders at the direction of supervisors.
  • Provide onthespot assessments to the SS or SCC when responding to emergency incidents.
  • Respond to emergencies and administer CPR, AED, and First Aid as required.
  • Coordinate with the Security Operations Center to ensure all procedures and protocols are followed during special events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
     

Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance required 
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED 
  • Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & Automated External Defibrillators (AED) certified (100%), and trained in Red Cross First Aid.
