Job description
Position: Full-Time Dispatcher (In-Office)
- Communicate with drivers and customers throughout the day
- Take incoming calls and respond to operational needs in real time
- Assign drivers and manage daily load planning
- Route and map freight efficiently
- Minimize deadhead and maximize productivity
- Track shipments and proactively update customers
- Manage and update customer portals
- Monitor email alerts and respond promptly
- Minimum 2 years of dispatch experience (required)
- Previous driving experience (required)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Clear, professional communication with both drivers and customers
- Strong computer skills (data entry is a key part of the role)
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented mindset
- Experience with McLeod software is a major plus (but not required)
- Experience with Samsara software is a plus (but not required)
- Salary based on experience and is open for discussion
