Job Description:

The Principal, Program Management role within the Strategic Capture organization is responsible for developing and leading capture teams and activities for strategic pursuits within MCC.  This role is pivotal in ensuring key pursuits in MCC's growth plan are planned, executed and transitioned successfully to execution teams. The role is also a critical position within our common capture process  providing collaboration with the  Business Development and Sales organization on opportunities with significant impact to MCC.  This role requires cross-functional collaboration and leadership as well as a strong customer focus.

Essential Functions:

  • Identify, plan and execute campaign and capture strategies in support of strategic pursuits and overall growth strategies
  • Lead cross functional teams in the execution of capture activities including development of win strategy, customer engagement plans, requirements shaping, delivery of customer artifacts and activities (RFIs, RFPs, whitepapers, etc.) and internal Gate reviews
  • Work collaboratively with the regional sales teams, program management and engineering to develop and capture near-term and long-term international growth opportunities
  • Work collaboratively within a matrix organization to lead capture activities without having direct authority.
  • Requires international travel

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience in Program Management. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience in Program Management.
  • Demonstrated experience in Capture Management, Program Management, large scale Systems Engineering or related field. 
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively in a team environment. 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Possess strong communication, presentation, negotiation, collaboration and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to develop effective working relationships with Regional Sales Managers, Engineering, Program Management, external customers, and internal customers across Segments/Sectors
  • Knowledge of the Common Capture Process
  • Experience with cross business/sector/segment collaboration
  • Experience with electronic warfare systems (EW),  Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems  or other large scale complex systems programs
  • Knowledge of international contracts terms and conditions, negotiation positions, payment plan structure, statement of work development and shaping. 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $133,000 - $247,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
