Job description

Responsible for business administration of the Baptist Health Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute ("WCI"). Develops and implements strategic, tactical and performance improvement plans to support current operations and future growth. Leads operations of select services lines. Collaborates with leaders to facilitate high quality, cost-effective patient care. Shares in accountability for financial performance of designated sites. Aligns key supporting teams within Baptist Health to define objectives and achieve targeted goals. Interfaces and/or develops appropriate programs and/or services within designated service lines. Able to communicate effectively and implement system-wide initiatives (HR, Marketing, etc.). Contributes to growth and profitability by providing operational expertise to existing and potential physician practices. Ensures operations are conducted in a manner consistent with Baptist Health mission, vision, and service standards.

  • Bachelor's in Business Administration required.
  • MBA/MHA strongly preferred.
  • Preferably 10 or more of years physician practice administration and operational management including sound knowledge of medical practice revenue cycle.
  • Proven leadership with physician practice operations, reimbursement, continuous improvement methods, along with the demonstrated ability to develop and lead highly effective teams.
  • Ability to lead large teams and effectuate change across multiple areas.
  • Ability to assist in identifying, developing and prioritizing capital expenditure projects and their budgets.
  • Lead role in the strategic planning process for BHMG and the respective service lines.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining physician relationships, as well as expertise in leading management and multi-disciplinary teams in the achievement of company goals.
  • Ability to manage across dispersed practices and multi-specialty environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, which must include demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and tactfully to internal and external contacts, in particular to physicians in order to present and obtain sensitive information.

Minimum Required Experience: 5 Years
