Job Description

Western Digital is seeking highly motivated undergraduate and MBA students to join our Finance & Accounting teams for a hands-on internship experience during Summer 2027. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain exposure to key areas of corporate finance. 
This internship is designed to provide real-world experience and professional development in a dynamic, innovative environment. Whether you're pursuing your bachelor's or MBA, you'll be part of a team that powers global innovation through data. 
 
Internship Areas 

 
Interns may be placed in one of the following functional areas: 

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) 

  • Tax 

  • Internal Audit 

  • Business Unit Finance 

  • Treasury 

  • Technical Accounting 

  • SEC Reporting 

  • Revenue Accounting 

This position is part of our Early Career program at WD. Our Early Career program is designed to support individuals beginning their professional career by providing the foundational training through a structured onboarding, mentorship, and development curriculum.

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s or MBA degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. 

  • Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later. 

  • Right to work in the U.S. without requiring Western Digital to sponsor an immigration case (e.g., H-1B). 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create effective presentations. 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in large, cross-functional teams. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Excel proficiency is especially important. 

 
Preferred (MBA Candidates): 

  • Relevant corporate work experience. 

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or a related field. 

  • Experience presenting to senior management. 

  • Familiarity with financial tools such as PowerBI or Tableau is a plus.
