Summary:
Provides leadership in collaboration with the Regional Chief Financial Officer to facilitate optimal utilization of resources at the regional level and across the system. Promotes understanding and cooperation between the physicians and Region through communication collaboration and education. Facilitate improvements in clinical practice to achieve better performance improved cost reduced length of stay fewer readmissions and superior patient care. Assists Administration in reducing financial risks associated with denials that are due to providing medically unnecessary or preventative services and extended length of stays. This role may support multiple regions.
Education:
* Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
* MBA MPH MHA or similar management degree preferred but not required.
Experience:
* Five years of related experience required.
* Knowledge of InterQual Milliman MCG and similar guidelines required.
Credentials:
* Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Florida.
* American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (ABQAURP) or similar certification strongly preferred.
