Job description

  • Lead marketing and communications strategy for Banner Health’s government-sponsored health plan products, including Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and ACO-aligned offerings
  • Develop and execute compliant marketing strategies supporting acquisition, retention, enrollment, and member engagement
  • Develop annual and campaign-level plans aligned to AEP, OEP, SEP, and state timelines
  • Oversee required and optional member communications and communications to employed and affiliated providers
  • Ensure communications are clear, accurate, accessible, consistent, and compliant
  • Serve as marketing lead for CMS, state, and audit requirements, coordinating reviews and filings with Legal, Compliance, and Operations
  • Partner with Health Plan executives, product and operations teams, Corporate Communications, and other cross-functional stakeholders
  • Establish KPIs tied to enrollment, retention, and engagement; monitor performance and share insights
  • Manage budgets supporting growth and communications
  • Oversee marketing strategic planning, processes, workflows, policies, leadership reporting, updates, and presentations
  • Optimize marketing tools and technology, including Workfront and AI, to streamline workflows and improve collaboration
  • Explore recommendations for Bannerwise and AI use across the Marketing function
  • Create standardized operating procedures for key marketing activities
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in health plan marketing, healthcare marketing, or related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in regulated environments
  • Experience with strategic marketing planning, member communications, and CMS and state regulatory frameworks
  • Proven ability to develop and execute compliant marketing campaigns
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional partnerships and drive performance through data-driven decision making
  • Expertise in health plan marketing strategies, regulatory compliance, member and provider communications, budget management, performance analytics, KPI development, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to balance growth objectives with regulatory constraints
  • Strong knowledge of AEP, OEP, and SEP timelines, value-based care initiatives, and ACO operations
  • Preferred: master’s degree or MBA
  • Preferred: Medicare Advantage and Medicaid experience
  • Preferred: experience supporting ACO or value-based models in payer-provider or integrated delivery systems
  • Preferred: familiarity with provider network communications
