Job Description

The Client Incentive Operations team are responsible for managing Client Incentive agreements for clients in the North America region. We ensure compliance with contractual terms and determine the accounting treatment of each incentive deal and conformity with US GAAP and local tax requirements. We use lean/six sigma process methodologies to provide benefits to our stakeholders regarding quality, cost and schedule associated with our work.

Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for overseeing the execution and optimization of client incentive programs, ensuring that they are aligned with Visa's strategic objectives and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operations management, and a deep understanding of the payments industry. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to be part of a dynamic group that is instrumental in crafting the future of AI in the finance and accounting function.


The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of US GAAP, solid analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to improve processes utilizing GenAI. Success in this role requires collaboration across teams, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to execute with urgency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting and reporting for client incentive agreements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal policies
  • Review contracts to determine appropriate financial treatment and monitor incentive performance
  • Assist in redesigning financial processes to identify inefficiencies and automating routine tasks such as journal entries and reconciliations
  • Leverage tools such as Power BI and AI models to streamline processes and drive efficiency
  • Lead or support system and process enhancement initiatives (e.g., ORMB improvements)
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Sales, Legal, Compliance) to ensure alignment and operational effectiveness
  • Apply structured problem-solving approaches (Lean/Six Sigma) to improve quality, controls, and turnaround time
  • Deliver insights through data analysis to support decision-making and business outcomes
  • This role is a hybrid role to be located in our Foster City, CA office location.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

  • Big Four consulting experience and exposure to large-scale finance transformation, operational excellence, or strategic advisory engagements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
  • 6+ years of experience infinance/accounting/financialoperations, preferably within the payments or financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP) and financial controls
  • Experience with process improvement, automation, or system implementation in finance functions
  • Proficiency in data analytics and automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, modern AI tools)
  • Experience leveraging automation and AI enabled tools to enhance accounting processes, analysis, and reporting
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage projects and drive initiatives across teams

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $129,200.00 to $ 206,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
