Job description

A rapidly growing, private equity-backed organization is seeking a highly analytical and business-minded finance leader to build and lead a newly created Strategic Finance & Operational Analytics function.
This role will serve as a key advisor to executive leadership, partnering directly with the CEO, CFO, COO, and operational leaders to provide data-driven insights that improve business performance, support growth initiatives, and drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong FP&A and financial modeling expertise with an operational mindset, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations. This individual will have significant exposure to executive leadership and play a critical role in helping scale the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Analytics & Business Performance
  • Develop and deliver executive-level reporting, dashboards, and KPI analysis across key business functions.
  • Partner with operational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and profitability enhancement.
  • Analyze operational workflows and business performance metrics to drive data-based decision making.
  • Build meaningful reporting frameworks that provide actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Serve as the primary finance partner for operational teams, gaining a deep understanding of business drivers and performance metrics.
Strategic Finance & FP&A
  • Lead financial modeling, scenario planning, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
  • Support budgeting and long-range planning initiatives.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities, products, and strategic initiatives through detailed financial analysis.
  • Develop forecasting models related to growth initiatives and evolving business opportunities.
Mergers & Acquisitions

Executive Partnership
  • Work closely with the CEO, CFO, COO, and senior leadership team to identify key performance drivers and strategic priorities.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and business insights to executive leadership.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by translating data into clear business strategies and operational actions.
Team Leadership
  • Help establish and scale the Strategic Finance & Analytics function.
  • Assess organizational needs and assist in building future team structure and capabilities.
  • Mentor and develop finance and analytics talent as the organization grows.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced credentials preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, operational finance, consulting, transaction advisory, investment banking, or related fields.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience supporting executive-level decision making.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and executive leadership teams.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools preferred.
  • M&A, transaction advisory, private equity, consulting, or strategic planning experience is highly desirable.
