The Maintenance Planner III coordinates all routine and non-routine maintenance activities. Identifies resources such as inspection, equipment, and material procurement required to coordinate tasks in a diverse work environment. Demonstrates string technical/functional skills related to specialized equipment and intricate knowledge of plant equipment, policies, and procedures.


Responsibilities / Expectations:

  • Coordinates maintenance activities and communicates the schedule to our internal and external customers
  • Maintains accurate equipment history and reliability data for equipment
  • Drives and influences consistent application and improvement of our processes
  • Identifies efficient system operations mode on a real-time basis and causes adjustments to be made as the need arises to achieve optimum state
  • Collaborates with others to identify and suggest training needs
  • Identifies and communicates standard practices
  • Supports budget development and forecasting updates
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Year of Experience:

  • Required: High school diploma/GED; a minimum of five (5) years maintenance experience (preferably as a technician, lead or planner), a minimum of two (2) years planning experience, and a minimum of three (3) years experience in the natural gas industry
  • Preferred: Vocational/Associates degree in technical field

Other Requirements:

  • Preferred: Prior experience supporting and maintaining compliance with DOT Pipeline Safety Regulations (49 CFR Parts 192 and 195), including documentation, maintenance planning, inspections, and regulatory audits.
  • Demonstrate aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
  • Coordinates with others to verify duration of maintenance and scope of work to be performed.
  • Previous experience developing scope and detailed job plans for preventative and maintenance work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
  • Maximo Power User Training completed.
  • Strong skills in Oracle or similar ERP system
  • Proficient in Power BI
