Job description

Position: Maintenance Supervisor - Food Manufacturing

Shift: Must be flexible - will likely be nights - 4p-4a / 5p-5a / 6p-6a - 3/3/1 rotation, every other weekend off

Compensation: $90-105k base salary DOE, bonus opportunity, relocation

Location: Memphis, TN (South Memphis area)


Global food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join its team at its state-of-the-art complex in Memphis, TN. This position will lead a team of maintenance technicians across a 24/7 operation, with full accountability for preventive, predictive, corrective, and new equipment installation activities. The right candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong technical background and a track record of driving continuous improvement in a demanding food manufacturing environment.


Key requirements to be considered for this opportunity:


  • 5–10 years of maintenance experience in the food industry, with a minimum of 4 years in a supervisory role
  • B.S. in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering preferred
  • Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, and control systems, with specific experience in food processing and packaging equipment
  • Solid knowledge of FDA/USDA regulations, GMPs, and HACCP standards
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and contractor resources
  • Familiarity with CMMS platforms (SAP, Maximo, or similar) and Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes, identify root causes, and implement lasting corrective actions
  • Experience tracking and improving KPIs such as OEE, equipment availability, yields, and production volume
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment
  • Union leadership experience preferred
