HHA (Home Health Aide) - HH

Virginia Beach, Virginia

Salary: $17 - $20 / per hour Maxim Healthcare in Virginia Beach, VA is hiring for a Home Health Aide (HHA) to work with Pediatric and/or Adult patients in the home setting. As a team member of Maxim, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact, while providing safe and patient-centered care. Position Description: The Home Health Aide (HHA) is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Therapist. The HHA performs various personal care services, as necessary, to meet the patient's needs. The HHA provides service in accordance with Maxim's philosophy, standards and policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor.
  • Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office
  • Successful completion of Maxim's Competency Program
  • Practices within scope of certificate/license
  • Must follow patients plan of care and complete all tasks assigned
  • Adherence to Maxim's policies and procedures, documentation, care procedures, and standards of personal and professional boundaries and conduct
  • Ability to live by Maxim's company-wide commitment to quality and competent patient care
  • Responsible for completing all assigned trainings in a timely manner
  • Performs any other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable
  • Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given
  • Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation
  • PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations
  • Participation and completion of Maxim's competency program
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Proficiency in the English language required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Technological proficiency including mobile devices for documentation
