Oral And Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant

Primary Responsibilities: Surgical Assistance:
  • Greet, seat and prepare the patients for procedures.
  • Take and document vital signs, medical histories, and give post-op instructions.
  • Provide patient education and answer any questions with empathy and clarity.
Radiology:
  • Take digital radiographs including CBCT's when needed.
Instrument And Operatory Maintenance:
  • Sterilize and organize instruments and supplies.
  • Clean and reset rooms between patients.
Team Support:
  • Communication with the front office, billing, and other clinical staff for seamless patient flow.
  • Support inventory management and ordering of clinical supplies.
Compliance:
  • Follow OSHA, CDC, and practice-specific infection control protocols at all times.
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
  • Dental Assistant Certification or Oral Surgery Assistant training (Preferred, but not required- training available).
Experience:
  • Prior dental, or surgical assisting experience preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate!
  • Comfort with patient care, aseptic technique and EMR/EHR systems is a plus.
