Job description

Creekside Veterinary Hospital & Referral Center is an independent, privately owned hospital that is looking for a dedicated DVM to join our team to provide high-level care for complex canine and feline cases in an environment that prioritizes patient outcomes over quotas.

Advanced training experience, residency or internship, or board certification is preferred. We have a strong, exceptional team culture that fosters an environment of loyalty, respect, and equality. Our practice prioritizes collaboration between doctors and staff, with an emphasis on open communication and learning from each other. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including but not limited to a competitive salary, vacation days, medical insurance, continuing education allowance, EAP, and 401K with company matching. With a local emergency center seeing patients after hours and being closed on weekends, our doctors and staff have a chance to have that valuable personal time.

Creekside Veterinary Hospital & Referral Center is a practice with General and Referral Level AAHA accreditation, Cat Friendly Gold Standard Certification, and Fear Free centered team. The hospital owner practices full-time at the hospital ensuring an understanding of day-to-day functions and doctors’ needs. We have a high-level support staff with more than 2 RVTs per DVM, and an overall staff to DVM ratio of more than 4:1. We have a full-time hospital manager and inventory manager. Two doctors are board certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) offering the opportunity for mentoring individuals seeking board certification.

We moved into a new 13,000 sq ft building in June 2024. We have advanced diagnostic capabilities including GE Revolution CT, 2 ultrasounds, 2 digital radiology suites, fluoroscopy, dental radiographs, and endoscopic capabilities for GI, bronchoscopy, rhinoscopy, cystoscopy, and laparoscopy. Our surgeon performs advanced soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries including TPLOs, total hip replacements, advanced bone plating, hemilaminectomies, laryngeal tiebacks as well as the full gamut of abdominal and gastrointestinal procedures. We have 3 surgical suites with separate patient prep, scrub, and sterilization areas. Our facility is equipped with a complete in-house laboratory, multiple oxygen cages, Holter monitor and ECG telemetry. We handle a full range of dental and oral procedures from advanced extractions, orthodontics to maxillofacial resections and reconstructions. We have an extensive medical oncology program with chemotherapy via Equashield®, Stelfonta® injections, Oncept® melanoma vaccine, and Zoledronate therapy.

Creekside Veterinary Hospital & Referral Center is located in the Iowa Quad-Cities. This area consists of Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa, and Moline (East Moline) and Rock Island in Illinois. This community, along with the Mississippi River that separates them, allows for a wide variety of entertainment options while providing a safe community for families.
