Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The Logistics Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective delivery of products by optimizing sales, warehouse operations, and delivery processes. This position is essential for effective product routing and delivery, focusing on both tactical and strategic initiatives to enhance productivity and meet customer needs. A strong analytical mindset and proficiency in business intelligence tools are vital for identifying opportunities to improve driver productivity and route efficiency. Key responsibilities include daily routing, truck diagramming, using routing software for optimization, and acting as the primary liaison for logistics matters with business units. The analyst conducts root cause analyses for operational issues, collaborates with local leadership to update route plans, and may undertake additional projects. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational and communication skills, a results-oriented mindset, and the ability to complete time-sensitive tasks efficiently.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Logistics Order Management: Align customer orders with production schedules to meet delivery dates andenhance customer satisfaction. Collaborate with sales, call centers, and logistics teams for seamless orderfulfillment.
Order Adjustment: Modify purchase order quantities to increase warehouse picking efficiency and reducedelivery costs.
Route and Load Analysis: Evaluate load distribution and identify optimal delivery routes to meet schedules whileminimizing costs.
Warehouse Workflow: Analyze order management and route planning to align with shift schedules, supportingwarehouse operations in meeting volume goals.
Customer Time Windows: Strategically sequence delivery stops to meet designated timeframes, optimizingefficiency and maximizing deliveries per route.
Holiday Planning: Forecast demand and plan for holidays by analyzing trends, utilizing capacity, staffing, anddelivery management software.
Aptean and Rehrig Monitoring: Develop daily route plans, monitor delivery movement, and assess operatorperformance using DIOT systems.
Samsara Monitoring: Oversee fleet management to track vehicle use and fleet movement within geofences.
Algotraffic Recommendations: Advise on weather, road, and traffic conditions to ensure employee and fleetsafety.
Supply Chain Improvement: Identify areas for improvement by monitoring external and internal trends.
Daily Routing and Safety: Conduct routing and truck diagramming tasks efficiently, prioritizing safety.
Logistics Liaison: Serve as the main contact for logistics matters and collaborate on route plan maintenance.
Database and Policy Updates: Update logistics databases and revise policies and procedures.
Fleet Analytics and Geofencing: Monitor fleet analytics, verify geofences, and provide updates on customerreceiving times.
Warehouse Studies and Traffic Monitoring: Conduct load order studies, monitor traffic conditions, and providepallet inventory insights within the market.


QUALIFICATIONS
A background in a logistics analyst-related field is preferred.
Knowledge of transportation routing software is required.
Experience with VIP or similar order-building software packages.
Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
The ability to pass a background check and drug screening is necessary.
Demonstrated abilities include:

- Handling multiple priorities simultaneously.


WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Frequently (50%+ of time) required to walk and talk or hear.
2. Occasionally required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel object, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.

5. Occasionally (less than 25% of time) exposed to moving mechanical equipment and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
6. Occasional (less than 25% of time) travel throughout the GDH sites.
7. Occasional (less than 25% of time) weekend and/or overtime work, primarily at start-up or when taking on new business.
