We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Junior Hybrid Survey Technician to join our growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive experience by splitting time between field operations and office-based data processing.

The ideal candidate is a proactive learner who enjoys working outdoors but also possesses the technical aptitude to translate field data into precise digital models. This position serves as a critical link in our project lifecycle, ensuring data integrity from the ground to the final deliverable.

The pay for this role will be $24/hr-$25/hr based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations (approx. 50%)

  • Assist Senior Surveyors in performing boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys.
  • Operate, transport, and maintain precision equipment.
  • Clear brush, drive stakes, and accurately document field notes and sketches.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed while working in various environments (construction sites, wooded areas, urban centers).

Office & Data Processing (approx. 50%)

  • Download and organize raw data from field collectors.
  • Assist in the preparation of survey plats and base maps using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation.
  • Perform basic survey calculations and data verification.
  • Maintain digital project folders and assist in preparing deliverables for clients.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; coursework in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or Geography is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word). Familiarity with CAD software is highly preferred but not requiredโ€”we will train the right candidate.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain, carry up to 50 lbs of equipment, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Licensing: Must possess a valid Driverโ€™s License and a clean driving record.
