WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS A BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN (BHT) / REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN (RBT)?

As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)/Registered Behavior Technician at Matrix Behavior Solutions, LLC, you'll play a crucial role in providing direct 1:1 behavioral health intervention to individuals between the ages of 2 to 21. Working under the supervision of a Behavior Consultant (BC) and Assistant-Behavior Consultant (A-BC), you'll implement treatment plans in various settings like homes, schools, daycares, and the community. Your responsibilities will include delivering interventions focused on social skills, life skills, and adaptive functioning to transfer skills proactively to clients and caregivers. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in ongoing training and supervision to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of behavioral health. Compliance with IBHS regulations and MCO guidelines is essential as you work on targeted treatment goals outlined in Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP). Knowledge and skills required for the position are at least one of the following:

  • Persons with a bachelor level degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education, or criminal justice with no previous work experience; or
  • Persons with a bachelor level degree in any other field with at least 1 year of full-time paid work experience that involved direct contact with children or adolescents; or
  • Persons with an associate level degree or 60 credits toward a bachelor-level degree with 3 years of full-time paid work experience that involved direct contact with children or adolescent; or
  • Licensed practical nurse with at least 3 years of full-time paid work experience that involved direct contact with children or adolescents.
  • Have a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma and have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task list as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BC-ABA.
  • MUST have a driver's license!

Staff must have appropriate background checks, transcripts of their degree, and clearances to work in direct contact with children and adolescents (ACT 33, 34 and FBI clearances) and be able to participate in Medicaid and Medicare programs. Must also complete the NSOR (National Sex Offender Registry) Verification, as well as an active Mandated Reporting Certificate (Act 31).
