Psychiatrist, Adult Partial Hospital Program at Mather Hospital

Northwell Health – Mather Hospital, Port Jefferson, NY

Northwell Health’s Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Psychiatrist at Mather Hospital. The ideal candidate should be committed to evidence-based care, energetic, innovative and enjoy a collaborative, team-based approach.

This is a unique opportunity to join the Adult Partial Hospital Program team at Mather Hospital. The Adult Partial Hospitalization program is an outpatient behavioral health treatment intervention designed to stabilize acute symptoms of mental illness for adults. Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, overseeing interdisciplinary treatment plans, evaluating medication regimens, discharge planning and providing supervision to ACP staff as needed.

Qualifications
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified Psychiatrist
  • Commitment to evidence-based care, energy, innovation, and a collaborative team-based approach
  • Experience with interdisciplinary treatment plans, medication management, and discharge planning for adult partial hospitalization (desired)
