Assignment Overview:

Middle School Math Teacher (Milwaukee, WI)

Position Title: Middle School Math Teacher

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Contract Length: 1 Year

Start Date: September 1, 2026

Pay Rate: $40+ based on experience and credentials

Position Summary

The Middle School Math Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective mathematics instruction to middle school students in a general education setting. The teacher will implement curriculum and lesson plans, create a positive and structured learning environment, support students' academic growth, and collaborate with school administrators, staff, and parents to promote student success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach middle school mathematics concepts aligned with district and state standards.
  • Implement daily instructional plans and adapt instruction to meet student needs.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback on academic performance.
  • Assess student learning through classroom assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects.
  • Manage classroom behavior and promote positive student engagement.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, administrators, and support staff regarding student progress and concerns.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, state regulations, and professional teaching standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Ability to effectively teach and explain mathematical concepts to middle school students.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to implement instructional plans and collaborate with educational stakeholders.
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of classroom teaching experience.
  • Previous experience teaching mathematics at the middle school level.
  • CPR certification (if required by district or contract).
  • DPI License preferred but not required
